Vi mødes et par gange om ugen og får undervisning af nogle af de bedste skiinstruktører i Danmark med udgangspunkt i Den Danske Skiskoles (DDS) Alpin Manual. Copenhill’s Danish name is Amager Bakke with “bakke” being Danish for “hill”. So why exactly does a power plant have a ski slope on it? “Why not?” asks Ingels when recalling his initial explanation of the project a full decade ago when his practice first won the commission. “There are no mountains in Denmark” he explains.

Visitors ascend it via a platter lift, carpet lifts and also a glass elevator that offers a glimpse inside the plant. The newly-opened Copenhill power plant is topped with a fully-occupiable artificial ski slope.

I've skied The Freeride 192cm for 10 days in Val d'Isere in pretty much all conditions. The Freeride is just what it claims to be, an awesome freeride ski. Ski at Vallåsen ski resort near Båstad / Skåne. Nice skiing for family and friends. Cycling downhill in a bike park in the summer. Cross-country skiing for both children and adults. Ätrans Ski Center offers 3, 5, 7 and 10 kilometers.

It is safe to visit and use facilities at Amager Bakke, as we are an outdoor facility with plenty of space.
